Special expertise in the cultural beliefs and attitudes surrounding the topics of sexual harassment and sexual assault, and their impact on judgments and perceptions of victims. Also a focus on the appropriate practices for conducting a police investigation of sexual assault and administrative investigations of workplace sexual harassment. Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Illinois, at Champaign-Urbana.



Currently serves as the Research Director for End Violence Against Women International (www.evawinc.com) and Director of Research and Training for Chief Penny Harrington & Associates, LLC (www.pennyharrington.com). Also an adjunct professor for the Department of Psychology at California Polytechnic State University (www.calpoly.edu). Courses taught in applied social psychology, quantitative methods and others.



Author of approximately 50 articles, textbook chapters, and other publications on such topics as sexual assault, sexual harassment, and law enforcement policies. Previous experience as a Research Fellow at the American Bar Foundation, Research Director for the National Center for Women & Policing, and adjunct professor for the DePaul University College of Law. Currently working on a book with Chief Penny Harrington that is under contract with Prentice Hall, entitled: Preventing and Investigating Sexual Harassment in Law Enforcement Organizations."
